Amberley Domain is a very enjoyable and fun-to-play Community DGC just off the main highway SH1, 40 minutes drive north of Christchurch. In just nine holes it manages to span a wide range of different hole types, while challenging all levels of player.
Designed by Chris Davies and Paul Wadsworth (Sarah’s Dad!) to take advantage of every possible opportunity to create holes which will be long-remembered by all players, Amberley Domain tricks new players into learning all the shot types necessary to become competent players at any course.

With some actual verticality, Amberley Domain offers Canterbury players their first (and only!) chance to throw from two tees substantially elevated above their baskets.

Designed especially for the residents of Amberley, from children to retirees, the course will tempt practically all players travelling north or south, to stop, play, enjoy, and commit to returning, to get revenge on the holes which vexed them previously.
At just 427-metres long, and an average hole length of just 47 metres the course might sound short, but don’t let the distances fool you – your skills will be challenged here.

This is Phase One of the Discification of Amberley Domain: Just half the available space has been used, reserving the other half of the domain for another 9-baskets once the first 9 have proven their worth to local residents.
