With the brilliant success of Lismore Park, Disc Golf Wanaka embarked on their second project with Vortica, just 2 minutes drive from Lismore Park. Eely point is extremely different in nature to Lismore, and is intended to challenge more competent players of the game, while allowing beginners to have fun as well.
Rounds played annually
Led by Dom Hayden, Paz Mazlen, along with other club members, a course design evolved over time – one which has frustrated as many people as have played it! The technical nature of the holes, and the unforgiving tee shots often leave a player wanting another throw.

Eely point is tricky to score on, and requires a wide variety of skills, not least of which is reading the wind correctly. It is seldom calm at Eely, and those who know the wind can do well here.

At Eely, DGW specified two very tricky basket positions in unconventional locations; atop a tree stump with a lengthened pole, and embedded right into a schist outcrop. These two have caused nightmares for Chris in tournament play, and for many others as well! Putting for birdie and taking a quadruple bogie is never fun.

Eely has several Signature Holes you will never forget, and the desire to get revenge on the course is strong in everyone who plays it. You may even want to move to Wanaka, just so you can play it frequently.
