What Innova Say: The Katana is built with the finesse thrower in mind. Recommended downwind driver. Hit the angle right and watch it bolt out of sight. The physical characteristics resemble a Boss with the flight characteristics of a Sidewinder on steroids. Master the technique of Katana and rule the course. Champion Katanas have slightly different flight characteristics at [13|5|-2|3].

Innova Katana (Champion)
The Katana, and other discs in the same vein, like the Latitude64 Bolt, are specialty discs for the most part, but slower speed arms will coax a straight flat flight from them - possibly being the longest disc type they're ever thrown.
But beware! We pity the fool who throws a Katana into a headwind, no matter the amount of hyzer applied: it will flip over and roll extremely quickly, and you'll wonder why you ever thought you could put enough hyzer on it to stop it from rolling.
The Katana is useful in big anhyzer airshots, where the disc remains in the air long enough to flatten before landing - making a very tough, right fading drive. So, if you can't throw forehand, think seriously about a Katana.
