What Prodigy say about the 400 Glow A5 [4 3 0 2]

The Prodigy A5 is a slightly overstable approach disc that will work in to be a straight flyer. It has a nice, smooth feel with a shallow profile and flat top, which makes it ideal for sidearm approaches. It can handle torque well and has a mild finish on the end, so it won't skip too far from where it lands.

  • We'll be honest - this is a clone of Discraft's now legendary Zone, but with a very slightly less overstable finish. Other discs with almost the exact same profile are the Harp, and the Toro - with the Toro often having a slight puddle-top, right out of the box. A puddle top helps with nose-down putting, if you were not aware.

But it is unlikely you will purchase an A5 as a putting putter. This is almost certainly a faster-flying throwing putter with enough stability to resist turning for the vast majority of players.

The A5 is arguably closest to the Toro, as it has a very shallow puddle. Or is it flat? Hmmm - YOU DECIDE!

Its 14mm deep rim is almost vertical and provides a comforting and confidence-inspiring feeling in both forehand and backhand grips, and the stability of this mould stands up to heavy forehand torque without issue.

Many players consider the A5 to be just like a Jawbreaker Zone in a premium plastic.

We love the feel, and think you will too.
